Our surveyors recently completed a comprehensive asbestos management survey at a busy dental surgery in Waltham Abbey, Essex, helping the practice fulfil its legal responsibilities under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. The survey was commissioned as part of the practice’s ongoing health and safety management, ensuring any asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) within the building were identified, assessed and safely managed while the surgery continued to provide treatment for patients.

The survey also included an inspection of accessible external elements to ensure a complete assessment of the premises could be provided.

Following the site inspection, all samples were analysed by a UKAS-accredited asbestos testing laboratory. The completed asbestos management survey report included laboratory certificates, annotated photographs, material assessment scores, asbestos register plans and practical recommendations for the safe ongoing management of any identified asbestos-containing materials. This documentation enables the duty holder to demonstrate compliance with asbestos legislation while ensuring contractors are fully informed before carrying out maintenance works.
