Asbestos Management Survey in Isle of Grain, Kent – Residential Property Inspection

An Asbestos Management Survey was carried out at a residential property in Isle of Grain, Kent, to identify any asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) and ensure the property is safely managed for ongoing use and future works.

Survey Approach & Findings

Our surveyors completed a thorough inspection of all accessible areas throughout the property, assessing materials commonly associated with asbestos in residential buildings.

A range of internal and external materials were reviewed, including ceiling finishes, wall surfaces, service areas, and structural elements. Where materials were identified as potentially containing asbestos, controlled samples were carefully taken in line with HSE guidance.

All samples were securely packaged and sent to a UKAS-accredited laboratory for analysis, ensuring accurate identification of any asbestos-containing materials.

Recommendations

Following the survey and laboratory testing, the client received a comprehensive asbestos report outlining:

• The location and type of materials inspected and sampled
• Laboratory results confirming asbestos content (if present)
• The condition and associated risk level of each material
• Clear recommendations for safe management, monitoring, or removal if required
